Sticks and Stones
Words have power. Some say, "They're only words -- just let it go." Easier said than done. What keeps you from sleep at night? An unkind word, maybe? What makes your stomach churn? Words said in anger, perhaps? So, they're not just words, after all. They are words. They have meaning and with meaning comes power. So, when you write, choose your words carefully. Remember what Mark Twain said: "The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter -- it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning."
